ActionAid is an international anti-poverty agency working in over 40 countries, taking sides with poor people to end poverty and injustice together. Founded in the United Kingdom in 1972 and registered as a global entity in The Hague, the Netherlands in September 2003, the ActionAid International Secretariat is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

ActionAid belief Climate change is now one of the greatest obstacles to ending poverty and realizing rights. It urgently requires international action to mitigate its causes and to enable the poorest countries to adapt to its effects. ActionAid is calling for a comprehensive, multilateral response to climate change.

CARE Nepal

CARE Nepal , like any other International Non Government Organization (INGO) in Nepal, operates through a basic agreement with Social Welfare Council, Government of Nepal that allows it to implement various community development projects and programs in the country. These projects and programs are guided by the government’s priorities, CARE's global programming principles and the need of the local communities. The organization works closely with various ministries and departments such as Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, Ministry of Health and Population, Ministry of Local Development, Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation just to name the few. Clean Energy Nepal

Clean Energy Nepal (CEN) is a non-profit organization conducting research based public education and advocacy campaigns to promote sustainable energy use, climate change, air pollution and environmental conservation. Rapid increase in the use of fossil fuels is having a detrimental impact on environment as well as the public health of the people of Nepal. CEN is committed to reverse this trend by launching campaigns designed to change opinions and behavior, and induce government and citizens to act in favor of clean energy and environment.

DFID

DFID is the UK's department for international development and has a long history in Nepal. It has a large programme - major components include funding education, health and roads. It is currently looking at how to support climate change in Nepal, and is looking to work with government, donors and civil society to develop a common framework for action on climate change. This framework could then provide the basis for longer term, more predictable and harmonised support to developing capacity and knowledge. DFID's support to key sectors will also look at the implications of climate change and support appropriate action, such as through its forestry and livelihoods programme

Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 1995 in Nepal. Practical Action Nepal

 Practical Action was founded in 1966, as ITDG (the Intermediate Technology Development Group), by the radical economist Dr EF Schumacher to prove that his philosophy of 'Small is Beautiful' could bring real and sustainable improvements to people's lives.

Practical Action has a unique approach to development - we don't start with technology, but with people.
